Google unveils a new tool for Android fragmentation
Google has released a new tool for Android developer to sort out fragmentation problems. This static library called Android Compatibility package enables running apps on diverse devices including older Android versions of 1.6 and above. Google introduced the Android Fragments API in Android 3.0 Honeycomb in February on Motorola Xoom among others to create apps optimized to the larger screen tablet user interfaces.
