Ericsson offers Euro15,000 prizes in Android app contest

 Ericsson has launched a competition offering a team prize of Euro15,000 for the best Android app developed by a team studying at university and one for a team in a company with less than 100 employees.

Entries to the competition, the Ericsson Applications Awards – Code for Cash 2011, will be accepted from teams of two to four people anywhere in the world. Participants need to create an Android-based application (web or native) that uses at least one Ericsson Labs API and is related to the theme ‘Connected Thing’.

Google announced that YouTube Music Videos gets a staggering 200 million video views per day, which is a 3x increase over the last one year.
